Starting in 2008, Sethirus is a Brazilian band that since the right beginning hasn’t limited itself inside rock genres like heavy metal, thrash or power metal. After working a lot and touring by several places, the band released its entirely independent debut album in 2013. The tracks “The Eye of Horus" and "Assyrian Fury" show exactly what the group came for.The word Sethirus comes from the word Seth, the name of the Egyptian god of war, deserts and the serpents. According to Egyptian beliefs, Seth would have torn his mother’s womb apart and been born by himself. The purpose of Sethirus concept album is to make an innovative sound without worrying about labels and subgenres inside heavy metal, besides talking about a subject that other bands have never discussed so far: the stories of the last Pharaoh who led Egyptians into an epic battle against the Assyrians.
